Last week, Amazon announced that it would purchase Ring, a wise doorbell manufacturer, at a deal reportedly worth $1 billion.
The investors ABC’s “Shark Tank” had a chance to be early backers of the business — Ring CEO Jamie Siminoff appeared at a 2013 incident seeking a $700,000 investment in exchange for 10 percent of his company, then called Doorbot. However, they missed out.
