Atlanta’s Chance to Acquire Amazon’s HQ2 May Have Just Battled a Big Attack

Atlanta is currently on a short list of all 20 candidates to become the house of Amazon’s second headquarters, known as HQ2. The city is probably close to the top of the list, thanks to its mix of gift, geography, and worth — although recent moves at the country level in Georgia could severely threaten its bidding.

The Georgia legislature on Thursday declared a statement stripping a 50 million sales tax exemption in the airline, which is headquartered in Atlanta. Governor Nathan Deal is reportedly ready to sign the invoice into law. Delta’s CEO on Friday reacted, stating in part that “our values aren’t suitable for sale,” while claiming that Delta had been largely trying to distance itself in the gun discussion.
