(Nest Photo) There is no love lost between Google and Amazon, two of the biggest tech businesses on the world with market values topping $700 billion. News leaked out over the weekend that Amazon will no more take new products out of Google’s Nest device, that sparked Nest to decide to stop selling its remaining goods on Amazon. Business Insider broke the information, reporting the war is occurring within the profitable smart housing marketplace. That’s a marketplace where Amazon recently planted its flag in a big way, buying smart doorbell maker Ring for a reported cost of over $1 billion. Amazon also makes the Alexa-powered Echo devices, that have landed in more houses than the rival Google Home clever speaker. Google’s Nest is best known for its thermostats, but it also makes smoke detectors and home security systems. Amazon and Google declined to comment in the Business Insider report. Fortune’s David Z. Morris notes the feud could raise antitrust questions around Amazon, potentially using its capability as a merchant to prevent other businesses from gaining a foothold at the wise home marketplace. Amazon does promote a huge array of smart home products on its retail website, such as smart locks out of Schlage and clever speakers out of Sonos. Here is the most recent chapter in a chippy relationship between Amazon and Google. Google’s Chromecast was assumed to have   reappeared on Amazon past December after the item had been eliminated from the Amazon shop a couple of decades prior, however, it was reported the streaming video devices still had not landed on Amazon’s virtual shelves. Amazon is also taking direct aim at Google’s cash cow at the digital advertising organization, and Google is strengthening its online shopping efforts. Watch this space at 2018.
