Stocks fell Monday, the first trading day in this month, as a decrease in Amazon stocks set pressure on the wider technology sector.
Even the Dow Jones industrial average traded 200 points lower, with a decrease in Walmart offsetting strong earnings in UnitedHealth. Even the S&P 500 pulled 1.2 percentage, with technology falling more than one percent. Even the Nasdaq composite dropped 1.8 percent as Amazon dropped 4.2 percent.
