Shares of Roku Dropped more than 8 percent Wednesday after Amazon and Best Buy announced plans to team up to Market Intelligent TVs.
Under the sale, Best Buy will turn into one of those sole brick-and-mortar retailers where customers will walk in and buy a TV powered by Amazon’s Fire TV program. The TVs will also be marketed on Best Buy’s site. In exchange, Best Buy is going to be a third-party vendor on Amazon.com, providing the merchant access to Amazon’s amazing consumer network.
