Mnuchin States Amazon’s practice of not collecting taxes from Third Party sellers does Not make sense

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said Friday that the Trump administration does not understand why e-commerce giant Amazon does not collect taxes for some of the merchandise sold through its website.

Amazon pays sales tax in their own account, but does not pay it on the third party organization. We don’t think that makes sense,” Mnuchin explained during an interview on CNBC’s “Power Lunch.”
