The deal, which is reportedly worth around $10 billion, could make a material difference for a more compact cloud supplier, like Oracle or even Google. In Amazon’s case, the dollar amount is not that big a deal — Amazon Web Services novels about $5 billion in earnings a quarter — it might give the company even more authorities credibility and result in further deals.
