Markets were able to deny another sell-off even after President Donald Trump went after e-commerce giant Amazon to the very first time in each week, closely followed dealer Art Cashin told CNBC on Tuesday.
Stocks briefly dropped early in the day after Trump took to Twitter to reinforce his analysis which Amazon’s business is costing taxpayers “many billions of dollars” through subsidized prices by the United States Postal Service. The S&P 500 initially dropped after the tweet prior to rebounding.
