Walmart Inc. will start offering ready meals in its stores for the first time, a move that may assist the country’s biggest grocer market more food when siphoning customers from grocery store chains.
Ten distinct meals are at present available in 250 stores, and the application will expand to 2,000 areas by year’s end, Walmart executives stated in an interview. The business also is introducing four $15 meal-kit choices in stores, developing a business that had previously just been offered online through external vendors.
