Amazon’s purchase of Whole Foods flipped the meal kit industry upside down; celebrity spokesmodels, football stars Aid sell vegan dinners

It has been just over a year since Amazon bought Whole Foods Market, and it’s already upended the marketplace for fresh prepared meal delivery.

Amazon hasn’t even started offering meals to its over 100 million Prime members and its reputation for interrupting entire businesses already has got the meal kit marketplace changing up business models in an effort to continue to customers within a fast-growing business using even swifter rivalry. From established services out of Blue Apron to vegan upstarts Purple Carrot, organizations are adding star spokesmodels, catering to both specialized diets along with promising customers all from 30-minute meal prep into curbing heart disease.
