Thousands of shoppers in search of significantly discounted objects will flock to Amazon on Prime Day, that kicks off July 16 at 3 pm ET. This year’s event is going to be the longest ever, with deals operating for 36 hours.
The e-commerce giant, that is by far the most visited online merchant among U.S. customers, is hailed for its large product choice and rather lower rates , and established brick-and-mortar merchants have been feeling pressure to compete at one of the few ways they could — through cost suits.
