Cisco stocks climbed nearly 4% in extended trading following MarketWatch noted that Amazon Internet Services isn’t planning to start selling network alterations, countering a story last week which said AWS was seeking to go into the marketplace.
In a statement that Cisco affirmed to CNBC,”Cisco and AWS have a longstanding client and partner relationship, and during a recent call involving Cisco CEO Chuck Robbins and AWS CEO Andy Jassy, Andy confirmed that AWS isn’t actively building a commercial network switch.”
