Amazon‘s site suffered a huge glitch during the worst period possible: the beginning of Prime Day, its largest shopping event of this year. Plus it lasted for hours.
As traffic funneled to Amazon.com Monday at p.m. ET, the beginning of Prime Day, searching for bargains, many consumers with were bombarded with pictures of dogs and a display that read”SORRY some thing is wrong at the end.” Some consumers were unable to log into their accounts, while some were unable to use the search function on the site to browse items. Meanwhile, AWS needed its own snags.
