Prime Day is just here, but Amazon is facing backlash for selling merchandise promoted by famous hate groups. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN) delivered a correspondence into Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos Tuesday, expressing concerns regarding the firm ’s earnings from these items.
“I’d love to know whether Amazon is committed to quitting the sale of all products that promote hateful and racist ideologies,” composed Ellison. “For a business with a policy forbidding the sale of ‘goods which promote or glorify hatred, violence, racial, sexual, or religious term or market organizations with such views,’ there appear to be a troubling number of groups using hateful, racist, and violent agendas earning money using Amazon’s platform. ”
