Amazon is adding 2,000 projects to its Boston technology hub in areas including cloud computing and speech science, the company declared Tuesday.

Boston is among the technology giant’s biggest footholds and also is a finalist to win the corporation’s second headquarters. Amazon was paying visits to each of the 20 North American finalists.
