Amazon is Employing semiconductor engineers to make its Own Cloud at streaming video

Amazon Web Services is loading up on engineers at a semiconductor device at Portland, Oregon, where the cloud company is focused on enhancing video processing speeds.

Chips are getting more important to AWS since the company aims to control all the hardware in its own giant data centers and fortify itself against rising competition from Microsoft and Google.
