Undetectable Commands for Apple’s Siri and Amazon’s Alexa Raise Serious Security Risks

Researchers in the U.S. and China have found ways to deliver hidden commands to digital assistants–including Apple’s Siri, Amazon’s Alexa, along with Google’s Assistant–which could have enormous security consequences.

In laboratory settings, scientists have managed to trigger and also issue orders to the systems through means which are undetectable to the human ear, according to another report from The New York Times. That could, conceivably, let hackers to use the systems to unlock smart locks, access users’ bank account, or access all kinds of private information.
