‘Amazon tax’: Britain is reportedly mulling over a tax to help Neighborhood online retailers, finance minister says

The U.K. government is considering introducing a so-called”Amazon taxation” to support struggling online retailers, Finance Minister Philip Hammond said in an interview with Sky News on Friday.

In Britain’s strongest intervention nevertheless on the problem, Hammond told Sky News the U.K. desired to ensure taxation was reasonable for retail firms doing business the”traditional” way as well as for those conducting business online.
