Amazon doubles down to Automobiles since Another domain for Electronic Mind Alexa with new tools

(Ford Photo) Amazon’s assignment to place Alexa everywhere took yet another step forward today with the announcement of a new set of resources to create the electronic assistant to in-car entertainment systems. The new Alexa Auto Software Development Kit comprises code to program in capabilities like calling, media loading, navigation and search, all via voice control. Amazon states that the tools make it simple for users to access Alexa’s over 45,000 skills like controlling intelligent home devices and receiving weather reports while forcing. This is not Amazon’s first movement toward getting its digital helper into vehicles. Amazon’s vehicular ambitions extend past the in-car systems. Last year, a Garmin debuted a $150 Alexa-powered device, followed with a 50 Alexa Device by San Francisco-based Speak Music.
