Amazon Intends to move off Oracle Applications by early 2020

Amazon’s development as a significant provider of data center technology has become a lot of its longtime suppliers, including Oracle, into heated rivals.

Now Amazon is dealing yet another setback to Oracle. The e-commerce giant, with already moved a lot of its infrastructure to Amazon Web Services, intends to be entirely off Oracle’s proprietary database applications by the first quarter of 2020, according to people knowledgeable about the issue.
