CEO Reed Hastings is well known for the endearing sweaters he wears during his investor calls. Past and current co-workers say he’s respectful and hands-off. Netflix‘s culture is superbly lenient: Workers have liberty to operate on projects which they find significant and get unusual perks, including unlimited vacation, no set schedules, and also the decision to be compensated in cash, stock options or some other mixture of both.
