Amazon employees are asking CEO Jeff Bezos to quit selling Rekognition facial recognition technologies to law authorities, and also to kick the information mining company Palantir from Amazon Web Services, based on a report by Gizmodo.
In the correspondence circulating the company, that was obtained by Gizmodo, employees wrote that they are “troubled by the recent report by the ACLU exposing our institution’s practice of selling AWS Rekognition, a potent facial recognition technologies, to police departments and government agencies. ”
