Amazon expands Prime member savings into all Whole Foods locations across U.S.

Prime members that pay $119 annually can receive 10 percent discounts available items and other special prices.  Amazon first declared the deal six months ago at stores in Florida and slowly expanded it to more states within the past month. Starting Wednesday, over 400 stores will give the deals. The discounts that are new will be the latest attempt by Amazon to create Whole Foods cheaper, trying to drop the grocer’s”Whole Paycheck” reputation. Amazon cut costs on several things at Whole Foods upon completing the purchase this past year, within its wider push into real retail stores. However, studies demonstrated that some costs later climbed. Amazon began offering delivery in Whole Foods to Prime customers in selected markets earlier this season. Additionally, it provides 5 percent back on all Whole Foods buys to customers together with the Amazon Prime credit card.  The company says it ultimately intends to create Amazon Prime that the Whole Foods Market customer rewards program. Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos in April disclosed the number of Prime members openly for the very first time, stating the program has over 100 million members globally.
