Here’s why Google and Amazon probably will never be Contained in the Dow

Google-parent Alphabet and internet shopping titan Amazon probably will not be associates of the Dow Jones industrial average, even though both companies represent what has come to be the most dominant industry of the U.S. market.

Questions arose Wednesday concerning the Dow’s informative article, a day after the index’s managers said that they had been pulling General Electric and adding Walgreens Boots Alliance.
