Amazon has “leeched off the taxpayer” stated Justin Welby, an archbishop of the Church of England (CoE), which, besides tending to the spiritual demands of its flock, also includes a $10.88 billion investment fund which holds Amazon shares.
The CoE’s remarks on Amazon (amzn) are not worth noting, since it is an activist investor: Before this summer that the charity threatened the firms it invests in using divesting if they did not fulfill Paris climate change targets by 2023.
