Amazon’s looming threat to the remainder of the retail business is prompting the creation of partnerships involving unlikely allies. The most recent case: Walgreens and Kroger are now gearing up to let Kroger groceries to be chosen in Walgreens stores.
Walgreens shops will stock a number of Kroger’so called private-brand goods, while shoppers who buy Kroger groceries online can arrange to pick them in Walgreens places.
